TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation)
At Mind Plasticity, our highly experienced and expert team has been at the forefront of clinical delivery of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) since 2013. TMS is a non-invasive brain stimulation technique that utilises magnetic fields applied to a specific brain region.
Recognised as a potent treatment for depressive disorders, TMS is also gaining attention as a treatment option for ADHD and other conditions characterised by cognitive difficulties reported as “Brain Fog.”
Our treatment is delivered by Bradley Whitwell, Nurse Practitioner, alongside Dr Mark Yim, MBBS(UNSW)FRANZCP. Both have played crucial roles in setting up the initial TMS program at St Vincent’s Private Hospital, USPACE and early TMS research at the Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney.
To date, our dedicated team at Mind Plasticity has administered over 90 million stimulations in our dedicated, multidisciplinary clinical setting.
We offer a collaborative approach for all patients, integrating their existing clinicians into the decision-making process, and provide the option to access TMS as a standalone treatment under both standard and accelerated protocols.
TMS is subsidised by Medicare, and Bulk Billing options may be available for eligible individuals. Please inquire at our reception for further details.
