Sarah is a Clinical Director for Apt and oversees the neuropsychology service for Apt/Mind Plasticity. Having worked as a Clinical Neuropsychologist for 16 years, she has specialised in mental health, particularly for adolescents and young adults. Being one of the few neuropsychologists with this extent of experience in mental health, Sarah has worked hard to bridge the gap between psychiatry and neuropsychology and has presented on and written papers in this area. Her work also covers advocacy and consumer education, and Sarah was part of an award winning team who developed a series of resources to provide better information for consumers receiving ECT.
Sarah has also worked for many years with mental health consumers to develop stronger cognitive and social cognitive skills.
Sarah conducts neuropsychological assessments, autism assessments, and ADHD assessments and can provide psychoeducation and intervention. Sarah is experienced in autism assessments with adults with less obvious presentations, particularly females, and uses a neurodiversity affirming approach. Sarah leads the PEERS team, who work with autistic people to support them in building friendships and intimate relationships. Sarah also has experience with clients with neurological (epilepsy, stroke and autoimmune encephalitis) conditions, brain injury, as well as dementia. Sarah conducts assessments for private fee paying clients as well as NDIS funded clients.
